Last week we were having some terrible storms and having a lot of problems with our power going out. It was in the middle of the afternoon, with no power and nothing to do. I couldn't work without a computer so my Husband and I decided to go into town...downtown Muscatine. (yes it's the town I live in...many tell-a-marketers do not know how to say it and spell check will say it's spelled wrong every time!)

I had been wanting to check out the little town shops ever since we had moved in...and this was our chance. Walking in what felt like a 100% humidity in 100 degree weather...we popped into a lil shop we had driven by many times before. Come to find out it was only one of about 9 other specialty shops. It was an old historical building restored to all it's glory called the "Pearl Plaza". The name of the first shop was filled with great gift ideas great for a mom or sister or girlfriend. It was called "Just Because". We were told it was owned by 2 sisters. I know I'll be back for gifts for my mother and mother-in-law.

Then just next to it was the shop called, "The Hall Tree Boutique". This is what made me light up to see a glittered, dazzle Hawkeye shirt with matching flip-flops - with change out clips! I had to have them. Come to find out it was of the same maker that made Victoria Secrets line of t-shirts last year. I was in love! I'll proudly be wearing this shirt this fall when it comes to be tail-gating season. Go Hawks! I was also informed that there will be more to come with matching sweat shirts come this fall. Oh for sure I will be back!
