A+ A A-

Busy with New Ventures...

It's been quite some time since I've been to this neck of the woods...I always thought years ago when I was "temporarily" closing down LMK's doors that I would be back...but with recent turns and twists to my life I'm seeing that it may all together come to an end. I love jewelry making and I still have a passion for it. I always think someday I'll get back to this I will but for some reason life keeps pushing me in new directions. Lots of new directions. When God Gives you Art and Creativity as your talents it's hard to stay on track with one creative ability. My artistic abilities lie with so many possibilities...I"m currently opening a store front for all things Shabby Chic and Vintage...on top of that I'm getting into my digital world of graphics and working on vinyl crafting and digital files along with Sticker and planner designs. I can't seem to stay still enough to focus 100% all in one area. It's a blessing and curse as I keep recreating myself.

I feel as though it's all starting to tie in together. All my skills at once...time will reveal it's fate of what is to come next.

So far I have my world of several businesses all coming together.

Plan to Love this Life

Whew that's a handful for anyone to take on. But I'm steadily working away in each area as a lot of it overlaps. It really does. Even a place where my jewelry design making skill come in to play with all of this as well.

I love sharing my designs and art talents with the rest of the world and I'm slowing making my way rebuilding this new world for myself.

I look forward to sharing this with many of you as I always am looking to somehow inspires others to follow their passion to create something new.

DIY Jewelry Inspired Ideas

So like many of you....I'm a Pinterest Fanatic and even though I've been away from making jewelry for so long now I still get an overwhelming sense of wanting to make something especially when I come across ideas on my Pinterest feeds. I thought why not share some of them here and possibly inspire others. A lot of them are actual DIY tutorials but other are ones I pinned that by looking at them I know I would be able to figure out how to assemble. Along with my other dozens of web domain names I've purchased that have been placed on the back burner the website was purchased with the idea of selling jewelry kits and creating tutorials. But unfortunately there just isn't enough hours in a day to make everything I think up to happen.

Free Dino Kids Tale Pattern

This is absolutely adorable! I had to share! I know it's been ages since I've been here to post a thing but leave it to this adorable freebie to get myself back here.

sew a DIY dinosaur (dino) tail

This one really has me wanting to get my sewing machine out and run to the store to buy some fun fabric and stuffing for my 3 year old son. Heck I bet my girls would even adore these for play time. Anyhoo, here it is FREE and I'm pretty confident you'll feel the same way! Best part is it looks pretty easy...just need basic sewing skills and time! :)

DIY Make Your Own Basket Ideas

Getting Inspired to revamp my office and to organize my office, I've decided I'll need places to PUT things in...baskets mainly so here are some DIY tutorials in doing just that...create your own baskets to start organizing your things!

DIY Popsicle Holders

These are one of those things that you've got pretty much all you life never having and until the day they exist you don't know how you didn't ever have them before. It really makes for a fun project to do for an afternoon with the kiddos...Simple and easy and fun Popsicle holders so the kids fingers don't freeze when they are holding their summer treats.

Free Printable Thread Spools

I've decided I need to bulk up my "FREEBIE" section so I thought a good start would be with these Free Thread Spools & Template to make your own. I've come across other sites with these however was disappointed to see that the resolution was very poor and not for print quality. So I've made my own sheet that you'll be able to download for free with a variation of colors and pictured are these spools that I am using myself. I hope to add to this page with more options as soon as I get the time to. I like how these turned out and they have a vintage appeal to them. I've printed them on my new laser printer on card stock and they work great from my embroidery thread as you can see here.

New LMK Website!

One of the good things about being a freelance web designer is that I can create my own websites. Bad thing about that is that I revamp my websites often and I have lots of them. This time I feel that I have a set up where I should be good for a couple of years. I hope. ;) As long as I get everything on here that I want and as I had it set up before. There's already a software update on CMS system of a newer version. I'm just getting adjusted to this setup but happy to get rid of the obsolete software for now anyway.

LMK Mobile Vintage Trailer Shop

As of right now LMK has big plans to go MOBILE! It's official that I'm a proud Trailer owner of this vintage 1971 Trailblazer Travel Trailer to soon be converted over to my mobile shop. I have been debating on shutting down my online shop in the mean time to be able to focus my energy in getting her fixed up. Right now my orders have been pretty slow but steady so I've kept my shop open to take on orders as I go. It will depend on how much extra time I have being that my customers always come first so as much as I do not want to it maybe very much a have to for the time being that  close my shop down for a while as I work on getting her up and going. I'm excited to get started however overwhelmed with the amount of work I know needs to be done. The whole process has been a lot of fun discovering the world of vintage trailers along the way. Being a newbie I thought I would share my journey and have started a Blog about my search of my dream trailer. I'll be posting my every day processes of making her over from painting her inside and out and glamping her out. You can follow here if you'd like:

I look forward to sharing more with you as she comes along and hope that I'll be able to juggle both in the process. I have plans on having her pulled to craft fairs that allow her to be tagged along. I'm excited to see where LMK will be going in the next couple of years!
